Anyone who has read or watched Liddy for more than 30 seconds knows he is capable of extreme levels of stupidity. That's exactly why he's so popular with the right.

I read his first book many years before he became the wingnut icon he is today. I laughed almost all the way through it trying to imagine how someone could be that high up in the Nixon administration and be that fucking stupid. The story of his Watergate break in reads like the three stooges. I highly recommend it.
