This is a new Frontline PBS video. Echos many of the points I have made about college essentially turning in to a money making business designed to put an entire generation of young people in to debt.

It is an hour long video, but very very very interesting.

"The business of higher education is booming. It's a $400 billion industry fueled by taxpayer money. But what are students getting out of the deal? Critics say a worthless degree and a mountain of debt. Investors insist they're innovators, widening access to education."

1. Saw it. The pig in a poke which was sold? "You needs a collage edumacation."

If you need a degree, you have to pass some basic tests, and then discover that the average state institution costs maybe a third of the on-line yee-HAH institutions. If you are not up to snuff for the entrance exams, try com. colleges. If not there, drop the subject -- or pay through your nose for a milled diploma.

Folks should re-consider whether they need a B.S. when the country is looking for skilled trades.
