1. Correct. Private planes? Not sorry. Million-dollar homes? Not sorry.
$100,000 homes? Sorry.

i don't know
i think i feel bad for anybody who is having their property repoed.
the fact that it's not something i'd ever buy doesn't change the fact that they wanted it and now are losing it due to uncertain economic times.

2. Sort of debunks the whole idea
that all these foreclosures are due to poor people who took out loans they couldn't afford because they were too stupid to know better.

Guess there are plenty of "rich" people who live beyond their mean, too.

Would love to see half the criticism leveled at these guys as we do at the poor guy working two jobs to make ends meet and still end up losing his home or his car.

3. There are no doubt some folks going through this
Undoubtedly, some of these high flyers (no pun intended) surely thought they were immune to the vagaries and the ravages of the economic storm their pallies had unleashed on the nation. Sure, the losers were going to get turned out of their homes or their jobs were going to China, but they'd be all right.

And now the flock of chickens has come home to roost on their shiny means of transport.

4. They likely still have someplace to live and food to eat.
So I don't see reason to lose sleep over them.

5. I know two people who owned planes. They were both contractors
and made good money a couple of years ago. Not what one would call rich but doing ok and the planes were very handy when they had jobs out of state. With the downturn one sold his plane and the other is bearly holding on to his. I asked him what it was worth and he said about $45000. I've seen bass rigs that cost more than that.
