tout her stories, and they literally look like they are going to start salivating when they talk about how

Her poll numbers are at I believe 70% finding her unqualified. She does well at making herself the story, and making money.

"Don't mess with Texas" being an example that comes easily to mind. Who ever suggested messing with Texas?--yet that belligerent attitude is a great applause line.

That "mama bear" defensive attitude is pretty meaningless in the absence of actual threats (never mind the fact that liberals are just as ready to defend their children from genuine harm as any conservative), but it plays well to others with similarly primitive brains.
