but, I think, and I could be wrong, that is what is implied with the first response of "Take no action".

Surveys/polls are so tricky because with the language chosen, you can seriously skew responses. By listing "Take no action" first, the suggestion is there that the response has to be an ACTION. There doesn't appear to be a "so what?" response to what should be a non-issue and that appearance, to me, makes the question suspect and brings the idea that there is a preconceived result that the poll writer is attempting to illicit.

It is useful to be ambiguous when you don't want to be obvious. The associations of "take no action" are passive, as opposed to something active like "take a shower" implying that one does not give a fuck about the "crisis".

When I was in the USAF, though, the shower wasn't mine in the first place. If there was an empty shower head, I took a shower, If not, I waited until someone finished. I didn't really inquire about anyone's sexuality. Was I supposed to?
