To my knowledge, it was not a secret this guy was an out of control misogynist who hung out in Westood bars picking up UCLA girls. But I didn't want to believe it. The guy is a racist, sexist disaster who made some very good films but will go down in history as a catastrophe.

9. Yes, I agree. As a former journalist, I appreciate the "allegedly" but

just being myself, not a reporter, I have heard too many stories to doubt this news. And I take full responsiblity for that statement. As far back as the mid-80s these stories were floating around in Hollywood. Even Gibson was talking about his excessive drinking in interviews, as was his director George Miller.

The Sheriff's Dept. has released a statement claiming investigators are "currently gathering information regarding the allegations."
