It seems that many Republican or conservative figures are almost disdainful when people confront them with their words and actions. You hear about "freedom of speech" and other charges when they are asked to account for what they have said previously. I think Angle knows that she messed up but is too arrogant to admit that her views are not popular and to save face she is playing the victim.
