Isn't digging for dirt on Republicans sort of like looking for water in Lake Michigan?

1. Good analogy
:-) Digging for dirt on the GOP will be like wiping dust off your computer monitor. You know it's there, you just have to look.

5. Frankly, I'd prefer "both of the above"
These days, part of "aiming higher" is exposing Republican dirt. I'd prefer digging up their policy dirt over petty personal dirt, but I'll take what we can get.

Acting aggressively against Republicans is a habit that sorely needs to be encouraged.

7. Depends on what your definition of "deserve" is
And who says they deserve it. The argument could be made that except for a very few, like Al Franken in the
Senate and Alan Grayson in the House(there are others, I realize), finding a rep of any party "deserving" of
re-election right now is not the easiest of tasks, but if there is a Republican candidate for the Senate or
the House worth voting for, their name(s) remain unknown to me.

3. Truth Will Out
Not hard to find dirt on Repugs. Why just look at Chairman Michael Steele's creative accounting--he buys "party goods" at stores that don't sell "party goods".

Just look for the Repug math, and the dirt will follow.

Oh wait -- this is from the roll of used toilet paper they call the Washington Post.

Never mind.

11. You know what happens when Republicans try digging for dirt on Democrats?
Usually just water bottles. Or they have to fake it (James O'Keefe & ACORN anyone?)

12. The problem is that dirt on republicans is not obvious to every voter.
Maybe they are wearing tinted goggles?

13. or trying to find sand on a beach
of course cleaning up republican corruption is like the other similar analogy: "trying to sweep the sand off a beach".
