Do any of you here subscribe to this newsletter?

It is a very left-wing daily newsletter.

I'm going to paste a little bit of today's email:

Glenn Greenwald has an unusually good (even for him) piece this morning on a young military whistle blower charged with a crime for letting us know that journalists were killed in Iraq from a US Apache helicopter attack. The 22 year old Bradley Manning faces 52 years in prison, charged with "releasing classified information."

Greenwald says "Perhaps Manning should have tortured people or criminally eavesdropped on Americans as he leaked these documents; then he could have availed himself of that sweet Presidential protective shield."

Reuters has the story in British news this morning, as one of their correspondents and his driver were killed in the attack documented by Manning. They also have a story on the new US military censorship, titled "Pentagon says new media rules are no 'iron curtain.'" Can't let the public find out what's happening in the wars (just send us your tax dollars and your kids, and otherwise watch lots of TV and shut up).

BRITISH LOOKING INTO TORTURE

The British are investigating charges that torture was practiced by some of their intelligence agents. Shamefully, our government is covering up it's human rights crimes, even as the State Department charges other nations with committing human rights violations. Expect a US investigation about the same time hell freezes over"

1. Just an observation unrelated to it's content - but the title sounds libertarian
