Here is the EEPC competitor to the IPAD... Found it today while at the windows store.

No, not quite what I personally will wait for, or for Mac to drop their prices.

Suffice it to say Amazon has lower, but the MS store had it for the exact same price... 499, and double it's capacity. Now I have said it before, "capitalism" is an illusion in this country, but to keep it going we may see a few of them prices DROP.

1. Its been out since November 09

I am expecting a 2nd wave of touch netbooks soon. I fully expect them clearly surpass the Ipad in most respects.

a new atom processor is coming out... and reality is, DROID will do it more than microsoft.

Still, I foresee "competition" in the very near future...

Oh and I use the term "competition" since that's been gone at that level of the economy for a while.

3. Real issue seems to be price point and touch screen cost & performance

Matching an Ipad will not be much of a problem.

4. Why I expect Droid to do it

they are far less power hungry and resource hungry. With 1 Gig of RAM this one was sluggish, though word 10 has a few new things that I went.... no, I don't need to upgrade.
