The behavior of law enforcement was threatening and nonsensical. I watched the cops as they advanced ominously, slapping rhythmically on their plexiglass shields, on a seemingly peaceful and lawfully assembled protest crowd in Queen's Park North, which was designated as a "free speech zone", and herded the protestors out of the park.

There are something like 20,000 cops and law enforcement officers in Toronto. Their presence is overwhelming.

Reporters hinted that cops were letting acts of vandalism and violence happen in order to crack down.

CBC coverage was impressive. It was wall to wall with very limited ads (I only saw one). The reporters were in the thick of it and the anchor, Peter Outerbridge, was very diligent.

1. Me too
CBC is great. They still used some judgment labels such as Hooligans and Thugs occasionally, while hinting the destructive protesters potentially had no political agenda. Thats simply unknowable, and the media shouldn't perpetrate that narrative for the elite without further investigation, as it may only suppress the truth. That aside, they did a good job showing the police, and raised legitimate objections while they cleaned out Queen's Park (and this is also a government news agency reporting on the government). It was nice to see reporters on the ground by the riot police and crowds burning the police car

2. Well that's good then...
The snippets we are fed here by the "news" is almost always on the side of the cops...
