Forgive me if I don't hop on the bandwagon cheering the impending death of a sick old man. Honestly, Cheney is irrelevent to me at this point. It is his ideas which must die. As long as GITMO is open, his ideas live. As long as there is oil in the gulf and we still don't regulate or ban deep sea drilling to make it safe, his ideas live. As long as we fund endless wars with nary a thought of the deficit but decide we can't borrow a cent for unemployment insurance, his ideas live. As long as we lay off teachers in the US while paying them in Iraq and Afghanistan, his ideas live. Go ahead and cheer the impending demise of his body, I'll hold off until his ideas are dead.
