Florida GOP is crafting an Arizona anti-immigrant law. Please pass this along to
all Hispanics in Florida and across the US. Please help convince the fastest growing demographic group that the GOP (GOBP) is continuing its racist policies.

1. Have they lost their fucking minds?
Um in case they haven't noticed, not too many people are happy with Arizona right now. Florida lives on tourist dollars. They already have their Gulf beaches heading for disaster, now they want to piss off every Hispanic and every liberal mind in America? Nice going.

2. Law won't apply to Cubans.
Edited on Sat Jun-26-10 08:38 AM by Mika
The US's Cuban Adjustment Act and the Wet Foot/ Dry Foot policy (for Cubans only) allows Cubans who have failed a US conducted background check for a legal visa to enter the US illegally and become instantly legal - no matter their criminal background - and then to have made available all US social perks like instant access to food stamps, instant access to social security, instant access to green card application, instant access to Sec 8 tax subsidized housing, etc etc.

4. they're f'n idiots -- most of the hispanics here (cent FL, at least) are from PR
and that's completely legal. they just see spanish-speakers and freak the fuck out. i'm thankful for the diversity we have here.

it's a much better place to live than than the monoculture i remember from when i was a kid.

5. Let me know when an Hispanic group puts together a legal team.
If they come up with a legal team the way the NAACP has, I know where they can go to bring Florida's GOP to their knees. Unfortunately, it will also bring down crooked Democrats.
