Is ANYONE protesting BP spraying dispersant?
Is there any group where we can join an effort to STOP this travesty. This is a dangerous game BP is playing. And now I'm pretty sure that it's to shed some of the responsibility for the oil damage. They are going to try to blame EPA (or whoever has the responsibility) for having the chemical on the list of approved dispersant chemicals.

Didn't a government agency tell them to stop spraying?

10. Yeah, this is my biggest problem with Obama...
he should get that stopped.

Have you seen the youtube video of the ocean bubbling? Chemicals, chemicals.

Killing more wildlife than the oil and has the added benefit for BP and our government of killing those marine mammals out of sight, way deep, so we don't see the corpses.

God, the carnage that must be going on in the Gulf under the water.

18. I am SOOO FREAKED OUT by this chemical weapon ASSAULT that BP
is perpetrating against ALL LIVING THINGS on the Gulf coast. I'm actually quite HAPPY that Haley and Bobby have NOT called up the National Guard resources available to them because as it's currently proceeding they'd all be SICK FOR LIFE; treated with the same urgency as Agent Orange, Iraq crud, TBI and on and on and on... :puke:

KAUM ZU FASSEN!!!

3. This is one of the more underreported issues surrounding the spill. With the redundant coverage...
they devote to the issue, they could dig into this issue.

6. I think it will cause more damage than the oil.
That is just my opinion but it is more toxic than the oil and all it is doing is spreading the oil throughout the water instead of just on top

great poster, BTW... wish I could have come. Last time I was in NOLA was in Jan 2005 for the Jazz Funeral for Democracy protest against the chimp's 2nd bogus inauguration. That was a great one.

15. all we have these days, it seems, are online protestors
It is so disheartening. I've been looking online but so far can find nothing being organized.

(May 25, 2010) "The Environmental Protection Agency ordered BP to cut back by 50 to 75% of the oil dispersant Corexit Monday because they don’t believe the oil company’s word that it does not effect sea life

EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson said the feds will conduct their own independent tests of the chemical in which 800,000 gallons have been sprayed on the Gulf’s oil slick. For reasons she did not explain, BP is allowed to continue releasing the dispersant on the source of the gusher 5,000 feet deep and 50 miles south of Louisiana.

BP last week failed to comply with an EPA request to find an alternative dispersant which an irate Jackson said was “insufficient.”

There have been no repercussions, no further orders against BP for their failure to comply.
