There are three active systems in our hemisphere

1. Invest 93 which is slowly approaching Tropical Depression strength and may be a serious problem for the oily Gulf


2. Invest 94 which should disappear into the Atlantic

and

3. Tropical Depression One -without a doubt the first TD to roll off Africa this early in the season

But we knew it would happen: hurricane season comes each year.

The bad thing about the location of TD 1 is that it will push oil on shore.

I remember from last year there was a brief period when they were showing both at once.

On the other hand, there are also a couple of active hurricanes in the Pacific, one of which got up to Cat. 5 today -- headed away from land, though.
