GOP Rep. Dana Rohrabacher: Most Republicans Think Iraq War Was Unlawful

http://blogs.ocweekly.com/navelgazing/politics/rohrabacher-reportedly-says-mo/

"This morning when we taped our show for this weekend, Congressman Dana Rohrabacher, a right down the middle conservative Republican from southern California, former speech writer for Ronald Reagan, looked at me and said 'almost all Republicans in the House of Representatives now believe that the war in Iraq was a mistake, that it was unlawful, that it was immoral, that it wasn't worth the lives lost or the trillions that will be spent'"

-- Retired judge and FOX Business commentator Andrew Napolitano speaking on the Alex Jones radio show. Rohrabacher reportedly made similar comments at a recent forum with Tom McClintock.

One question: FOX may be kooky, but when did it become kooky enough to openly associate with Alex Jones, king of New World Order conspiracy theorists?

Oh, another question: Did OC congressman Rohrabacher really say most Republicans think the war was "unlawful?" Mistake, sure, but illegal? Probably should wait to actually hear Rohrabacher say that before taking Napolitano's word for it.

Okay, one more: Rohrabacher's a "right-down-the-middle conservative?"

Ok. That was truly weird. :wow:

I'm not sure what's weirder though -- that what Rohrabacher said is true or that someone called him a "right-down-the-middle conservative.: :D

4. Where were they in 2003? Rohrabacher knows that Osama Binladin was deliberately not captured
http://www.historycommons.org/entity.jsp?entity=dana_rohrabacher

"Congressman Dana Rohrabacher (R), who claims to have made many secret trips into Afghanistan and to have fought with the mujaheddin, later describes to Congress a missed opportunity to capture bin Laden. He claims that “a few years” before 9/11, he is contacted by someone he knows and trusts from the 1980s Afghan war, who claims he could pinpoint bin Laden’s location. Rohrabacher passes this information to the CIA, but the informant isn’t contacted. After some weeks, Rohrabacher uses his influence to set up a meeting with agents in the CIA, NSA, and FBI. Yet even then, the informant is not contacted, until weeks later, and then only in a “disinterested” way. Rohrabacher concludes, “that our intelligence services knew about the location of bin Laden several times but were not permitted to attack him… because of decisions made by people higher up.” "

11. Unfortunately the GOP has moved a LOT in his direction, so he's a lot closer to the "middle" of
conservatives than he used to be.

But your point is well taken. ;)

12. Rohrabacher is NOT down the middle. He's a right wing extremist.
I talked with him on the eve of President Clinton's impeachment vote by the House. I talked with Dana Rohrabacher for about 10 minutes. During the conversation I asked him flat out, "Have you ever lusted for any other woman besides your wife?" He answer, "No.". Dana is either an abnormal male, a liar or all of his lusts were for men, or a combination of all three.

This right wing republican voted to impeach President Clinton over lying about a BJ. But this same Rohrabacher cheered on Bush's Iraq War during it's lead up and throughout the war. And this hypocrite is not doing one thing to bring Bush & Cheney to justice for the war crimes they committed. So his latest statements are completely empty. If republicans actually felt this way and if they had even a cell of integrity in their bodies they would be calling for charges to be filed against Bush and Cheney. But that will never happen because republicans couldn't care less about the law.

No amount of trying to erase his part in the murder of over 5,000 US soldiers and hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis will ever remove the blood off of his hands.

13. The same swine who forced this way upon us.
The same right wing swine who intimidated any elected official who opposed the Iraq war.
The same right wing swine who took the streets and threatened the lives of the Dixie Chicks for criticizing George Bush.

Go to hell! :argh:
