Former Oil Worker Says Cleanup Just For Show
GULF SHORES, Alabama - Former oil clean-up worker Candi Warren says she signed up to make a difference, but soon found out the work of cleaning the beaches was all cosmetic. That's what she was told, she says.

Warren says she knew that when crews worked during the day, the tide and surf buried oil overnight. But they were forbidden to dig it up. She quit in disgust three weeks ago despite the $18 per hour pay.

She said she was told to only clean the surface of the sand, that this is all cosmetic. She was on a crew at Gulf State Park where tourists go. She says it has priority so as to make it look like the beaches are clean.

Warren says she believes money is being wasted on the crews and says "At some point the real clean-up will have to begin, but I'm afraid the money will be gone."

1. everything that BP has done has been for show
It is pretty disgusting but what is more disgusting is getting those in power, the ones that matter and can do something about it, to recognize what BP is doing, or rather what they are not doing.

4. The clean up is part of the cover up
People are on the beach to make it look like they're protecting the beach. Workers don't wear respirators to make it look like the fumes are safe to breathe. Boats are on the water to make it look like they're skimming. Dispersants are being injected at the leak site to make it look like less oil. The 20 billion dollar escrow fund makes it look like everyone's life will return to normal.

5. PLEASE watch this video in the OP
I cannot express how important this is. I'd posted it yesterday within a thread, but it fell into the abyss. This video needs to be seen. I hope people will watch.

Why is the federal government letting them do this to its 'citizens'?
At this point, they are COMPLICIT in this CRIME.

6. I have no doubt it's just cosmetic...
BP will find a way to dump the real clean up costs on the taxpayers, courtesy of our paid-for government.
