Private enterprise vs Public
I thought I' throw this quote out there:

"Private enterprise spokesmen never tire of asking for more "accountability" of nationalized industries. This may be thought to be somewhat ironic--since the accountability of these enterprises, which work solely in the public interest, is already highly developed, while that of private industry, which works , is practically non-existent."

E.F. Schumacher Small Is Beautiful, Economics as if People Mattered copyright 1973 p 268.

1. I don't trust either.
In all fairness, I don't trust either as far as I can throw them.

from just this week:

"This is what a failed democracy looks like: After years of avid public support for Net Neutrality - involving millions of people from across the political spectrum - the federal regulator quietly huddles with industry lobbyists to eliminate basic protections and serve Wall Street's bottom line. "
