While they both try to protray themselves as successful executives, neither one of them are - Sarah quit half-way through her first term of Governor (of Alas-ka), and Carly was shitcanned from HP for wrecking that company.

Carly slept her way to the top at HP.
She was the executive secretary for one of the board directors of HP.
Then she married him.
Violâ, all of a sudden, she's executive material!!

She was promoted at HP through the ranks faster than any other engineers, even those with Master Degrees in engineering.
When the spying scandal broke out into the news, where Carly had the other board directors' phones bugged, she blamed it on one of the other board directors - who was then forced to resign.
Google "phones of HP board directors bugged" and you'll find all of the details of that lovely, "business as usual" story.

David Packard warned her not to buy Compaq, but he was overruled by the other azzhats directors on the board.
Within 6 weeks, 2 other board directors resigned from HP due to all of the backbiting that was Carly's "personal style of management".
She's an accident looking for a place to happen.

Seriously, if there were awards for stupid bitches in management, she would win hands down.
