Massage therapist who has accused Al Gore says she no longer works on VIP clients at hotels
http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/index.ssf/2010/06/massage_therapist_whos_accused.html

<snip>

Late-night massage appointments for visiting celebrities weren't unusual for the massage therapist who said she was sexually assaulted by former Vice President Al Gore in 2006.

In fact, the now 54-year-old woman had just finished working on a guest at the Hilton Hotel and Executive Towers before arriving at the posh Hotel Lucia for her appointment with Gore, who was registered as "Mr. Stone," she told Portland police in an interview last year.

"I had as clients a number of VIPs over time," she said. "For example, NBA players, actors, rock stars, musicians and the like."

But while she had built up good relationships with several upscale hotels, she also felt vulnerable, she said. She decided not to tell either hotel employees or her peers about the alleged assault on Oct. 24, 2006, in which she said Gore repeatedly groped her, kissed her and pinned her on his hotel bed.

1. So, it wasn't Gore, it was Mr. Stone.
What'd she do, ask for an autograph? How did she know it was Gore?

5. this comment is beyond sick and offensive.
I don't know what happened here anymore than you do.

What I can tell you, is sometimes it takes years for victims to reveal anything that happened to them, out of shame, guilt, fear, and being afraid of not being believed.

Irregardless of what happened here, neither of us have the facts.

I seem to remember a post called "Why do old guys think that younger woman could be attracted to them" or something like that.

Was that you too?

8. Considering she's rather mature, it would seem fair since we
really don't know who the victim is here.

9. IMO no matter the age, the name should never be released.
That would start a trend that would be unfair to victims of sexual assault.
I'm not saying I believe her, I don't know what happened...but names should never ever be released.

10. So if she had robbed him instead of massaged him should her name
not be released?

11. That's a hypothetical..
She accused him of assault, so therefore her name should not be released.
That's my bottom line, and I will never change that way of thinking.

14. exactly,
that's part of the reason I feel that way, plus, it is extremely unfair for someone to be assaulted, with all the shame, fear, and guilt that comes with it, and have your name released for all to see. "Oh we know what happened to him/her" It would be like wearing a brand on your forehead.

16. Did she sell her story?
It doesn't say that in the article.
