On the light side of life... Italy goes home
And that was a hell of a game... Good for you Slovakia.

And this is what happens when you sleep on your laurels. It don't matter if you are world cup champs Italy, or in any other pursuit in life. Sleep on laurels, you will not make it.

And kiddies that is the lesson of this world cup...

:hi:

To the few among you who actually care, and this is the extent of my sports watching... once every four years at the world cup.

1. I know this article is from a Rastafarian (dismissed by some)
but I enjoyed reading it. (It was encountered because of the name "Lucky Dube").

2. That was a hell of a post
We are ALMOST ready for Saturday's game. Got my meat and snacks, and all that.

Yes I am damn lucky, my hubby ALSO understands and likes football... so yes we will watch the US play Ghana.

(And though I don't expect it, maybe Mexico will shock the world and send Argentina packing. With all the surprises so far...)

3. I am somewhat watching when I have time.
I don't have TV but ESPN3 live is great.

I enjoying it because I think it is great for South Africa.
I almost cried when Desmond Tutu said "Am I dreaming?" at the concert on the eve of the first day.

I also like reading the commentary here:

I wish Lucky Dube had been alive to see his song come true:
