For over a decade Republicans railed against "Nation Building". Do they even know what their stance on "Nation Building" is now?

2. One of the biggest hypocrisies.
Amongst the many hypocrisies, this was probably the worst. For all the complaints about nation building, they have gone on more ventures of this nature than we can possibly count.

Clinton took hell for just trying to protect citizens in countries under going extensive changes in eastern europe. Basically his primary goals were to avoid genocide.

In Iraq we stood back and watched genocidal activity go on all around us.

And this from the party that spawned the "moral majority"

5. I suppose that depends
on your version of 'nation building.' From where I sit, it seems that destroying nations is a specialty of the US, and the names of those nations are legion.....Iraq, Afghanistan, Cuba, Chile, Panama, Mexico, Philippines, Hawaii, Samoa, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, el Salvador, Uruguay, Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Viet Nam, Cambodia (Kissinger is still wanted for war crimes there), Angola, Libya, Lebanon, Yemen, Yugoslavia, Macedonia, Columbia, Liberia, Haiti, Somalia, Syria, Korea, Viet Nam, Syria, Dominican Republic, Turkey, China...and that's only some of the military interventions. What about the covert actions? In Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Greece, Lebanon, Russia, Spain, Germany, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Somalia, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Sudan, Darfur, Zimbabwe....and the list goes on and on and on.

The US tortures, trains torturers, and funds torturers.

It will continue to do so until the electorate or other nations force it to stop.
