Waah! GA Christian event w/Palin not selling many tickets.
David Glover figured the hard part was over.

He landed one of the biggest names in the country to headline the first fund-raiser for his Gwinnett County ministry, Zachariah's Way. Tuesday's event at the Gwinnett Arena will benefit the ministry's main program, which helps churches learn how to better serve special-needs parishioners.

But apparently not even Sarah Palin can make ticket sales sing.

"It's going better, we're just trying to sell tickets," said Glover. "To be honest, it's something we didn't anticipate at all. It speaks more to the economy and all that, but we thought Sarah Palin and Atlanta and throw it out there and people would come."

Tough shit.

1. I wonder what she's getting out of this?
In addition to Palin, the former governor of Alaska and 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee, the event features NASCAR driver David Ragan and performances by top Christian recording artists, including one surprise artist who alone is worth the ticket price, Glover said.

Tickets, available through Ticketmaster, range in price from $25 to $65. Glover said plenty of good seats remain.

Still, it's Palin who would seem to be the main draw.

10. this should be encouraging and discouraging at the same time...
on the one hand, you seem to have people who have wised up to her vile sputum (and in a pretty red part of a red state)...speaks a little better of the collective intelligence of the US. on the other hand...if people don't show up for her rally...that might indicate waning popularity which does not speak well for her as a potential repub nominee for 2012...and dems should be DYING for her to get the nod...
