8. When I read that, the only conclusion I could come to was

that he simply didn't want to be under the command of McCain. McChrystal has a huge ego and I just can't see him wanting to be subordinate to McCain who had also served.

It was just a feeling that I got from reading the Rolling Stone article.

They'll be scrambling all over themselves to get the first interview. So who will it be? Beck? Hannity, O'Reilly? Huckabee? Maybe Sarah?

They'll probably do about 5 hours of filming to edit down anyting that would resemble a coherant dialogue between Palin and McChrystal.

with all the spinning going on about this I had to read the article in question. He does NOT use the word "wimps", in fact there is little that I see in the RS article which is critical of Obama. And the pull quotes are just juvenile -- eg. "bite me" while the meat is burried between biography stuff about McChrystal and notes about which beer he drinks and that he thinks candles on the table of a restaurant makes it "Gucci."

IMHO the article is just part of re-branding the Afghanistan war in the run up to midterms.
