Message Discipline - A New Kink?

I've seen this term a lot recently, here on DU, so I decided to go do some research, since I wasn't sure what it was, exactly. Well...was I ever surprised. I won't give a link to the horrible sites I found, but here's a sample message that seems to explain it pretty well, I think. I can't post any of the others, due to the rule against explicit sex in posts:

Google seems to use words in whatever order. I thought I had discovered what all those reference to "message discipline" were about. Never mind.

But why is there a horse involved? Is Colonel Potter involved in this business? This is all so confusing...:shrug:

12. On Google's first page of results for Message Discipline

is this OP. Google spiders DU almost continuously, which means that search terms that match DU OP titles show up on the first page of results in almost every case, and within an hour or so of posting.

It's a point that every DUer should recognize and take into consideration when they compose titles to OPs here. Whatever text you choose for an OP title will pop your OP up in Google. It won't last more than a few days, at most, but it will be there whenever anyone searches.

On another note: The fact that this thread shows up on the first page of a search for Message Discipline also demonstrates that it is not a topic with a huge volume of prominent pages. The Wikipedia entry for Message Discipline is incomplete and lacks citations. It's not a commonly recognized term, which was the point of my OP.

Of course, humor was also on my mind, as it so often is.
