I'll tell you what the problem is
The problem is that it is insane to keep doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

The problem is our society can't keep doing the same things and expect to survive.

The problem is too many are actively contributing to the conservation of the 'same old ways'.

The problem is we are not seeing a sincere change away from doing the same things over and over. The level of frustration with the lack of change has reached a tipping point and is beginning to gush much the same as the Gulf gusher is destroying the very fabric of life.

We can change the world. In fact, the world is constantly changing.

As progressives we act in ways that make the changes result in a better world, overall.

And in opposition to us are the conservatives who think plodding along on the same path and not upsetting the apple cart and not rocking the boat, will somehow get us through this shit-storm.

Having been an agent for change my whole life, I know going along to get along results in the same old crap. Rocking the boat, and upsetting the apple cart makes change happen.

All I can say is lead, follow, or get the hell outta the way.

2. I too am for revolutionary change
Not as in "taking up arms" revolution, but revolutionary as in radically changing the status quo.

4. The status quo
.. is the evil root of conservatism. Conservatives are afraid of change, but that's what got the democrats elected, this idea that things were going to really change. Change inspired so very many people and now they are a bit let down. Eh?
