earlier today I went for a jaunt on my Harley. not very far just 60 miles or so. Stopping at a bar in a small town for lunch. (the owner makes a great patty melt, but I digress) turns out they were having a pig roast Benefit. It smelled good so I tossed in my $10 and got in line. It was standard fare Beans, Tater salad and pulled Pork sandwiches.

While waiting in line I overheard the group in front of me discussing President Obamas Handling of BP this week...
One of the men in the group was saying that Possibly Obama just might "work out" as he got BP to pony up 20 billion for the gulf businesses hampered by the Oil disaster. "That's way more than Exxon paid for the Alaska spill".

Another of them said "Hell, I will NEVER vote Democrat no matter How well "Obummer" does."
the third in the group said "I haven't voted Democrat since 1980."

I let out a hearty "HA!" and began to chuckle. they turned and looked at me, the third asked "what's so funny?" I replied " So you voted for Carter over Reagan, in 1980?" his face went blank and his pals Laughed at him.



BTW I should have stuck with the patty melt.
