2012...a self-fulfilling prophecy?

It does rather seem that between the BP-Gulf oil disaster, the worsening economy (oh wait, I forgot about the "jobless" recovery), and the rise of right-wing politics here and abroad, that 2012 could be a very bad year indeed. It's almost as if the right wing and mega-corporations are rushing this planet headlong into disaster. Scratch the "as if", there's no mistake about it, they are.

For all I know, maybe somebody invented a time-machine in a last-ditch effort, and wound up back in the ancient Mayan world.

1. let's not credit moral imbeciles with anything

fact is, defrauding the general population (the flaccid public) out of their money/power is easy. So easy that THE ENTIRE POLITICAL HISTORY of humanity is in the effort of trying to stop humanity from robbing and murdering itself over nothing to benefit the few. The rightwing have ALWAYS enjoyed the advantage that thew loudest, dumbest men in any society are selfish idiots prone to giving away power to thugs who then GO NUTS and rape the women. We always have been a corrupt stupid society, and the rightwing have always had a natural advantage. But never before have we seen the goofballs EMPOWERED on a scale as in modern USA...even in hitler's Germany, 4 million Germans (outta 11 millionvoters) physically defied the brownshirts to vote against the nazis...
