Which is what the Acoustic Switch BP skipped on in the Gulf costs.

13. Hayward Sailing Into Further Trouble?
From an employee of Rupert Murdoch:

Hayward Sailing Into Further Trouble?

When I heard earlier today that Tony Hayward, the under pressure boss of BP, was spending his Saturday with 'Bob', I assumed it meant that he was working alongside Robert Dudley, the executive taking of day-to-day operations in the Gulf of Mexico, on the company's ongoing operation there.

But no. The Bob that Hayward has this afternoon been spotted with is the name of a boat he jointly owns and which has been taking part in today's Round the Island yacht race

The Round the Island Race website lists the boat as having been entered by Hayward, Sam Laidlaw, chief executive of Centrica, the owner of British Gas, and Rob Gray, an investment banker at Deutsche Bank who has been close to BP for more than 20 years. It's not clear if Laidlaw, a respected figure in the energy industry, and Gray, were also there today.

SNIP...

There's also the point that Carl-Henric Svanberg, BP's chairman, did not appear to offer Hayward his unequivocal backing in his interview with Jeff Randall yesterday. The more Hayward is perceived to be digging his own grave, the easier it will ultimately become for Svanberg to dispense with him.

Similar punishment should await those whose actions, inactions and greed have created these disastrous environmental conditions.
Otherwise, their eternal punishment may be worse, with unending fire that gets hotter and voracious worms. Bad music, too.

29. And the only place his kids could 'see' him was on his racing yacht "Bob"?
I don't think so. I dare to assume he has a house in which he could 'see' his kids. Any CEO with one eye and half an asshole would know how ugly the PR would be in doing this and this piece of wasted skin knows quite well his actions are a "Fuck You" to all those suffering on the Gulf Coast.

I have yet to figure out the value of posting "But Bet this gets flamed!" Is the intention to hopefully forestall criticism of the post or encourage it? Very strange, imo.

42. The New Feudalism -- CEOs must be like knights or barons or dukes or something Roil.
Way back in 1776, We the People decided we were citizens, not subjects.
Still, to Tony and the CEO klass, we are little people: peasants, serfs, slaves, what-not.

Americans who felt we were all equal often joined a political organization called the Democratic Party.
In the 1930s, the Democrats were at the forefront for making life better for ALL Americans through fiscal policy.

We seem to have lost our way. These days many Democratic leaders have compromised those core beliefs in exchange for corporate cash.
It's the new Golden Rule of the 1980s: "They with the gold make the rules." Two real servants of royalty:

Welcome to the global Plantation aka the New World Order.
