Where'd Dick Go? Why Is Dick Cheney Silent on the Oil Spill?
http://www.newsweek.com/2010/06/10/why-haven-t-we-heard-from-dick-cheney-on-the-oil-spill-.html

The former vice president is usually a vociferous defender of his time in government. But not on the disaster in the gulf.

When the Obama administration, or the media, or just about anybody contradicts Dick Cheney's views on national security, he is far from shy about responding. But facing a firestorm of criticism over the oil spill, he's been notably silent.

More than national security, energy policy and the oil industry might be considered Cheney's real areas of expertise. He was chairman and CEO of oil-services company Halliburton between 1995 and 2000. And, of course, he worked prominently on energy

1. His legal team has finally managed to shut him up
and push him into the background now that criminal charges are being mentioned and people are getting more and more curious about those closed energy meetings.

Dirty Dick's got a lot to hide and both he and his lawyers know it.

5. Didn't he sent out his braying ass of a daughter?
I thought Lizard poked out of her oil hole a couple of weeks back on Faux News to "bark" for the family. Frankly, keep dead-eye Dick under wraps and shut up - I think it speaks volumes about how afraid he is of the whole BP/Halliburton/TransOcean cluster that's unfolding. I don't know that he was ever a 'real' oil man but that he can only speak at the 30,000 foot level like Tony "Give me my life back" Hayward. OR he's petrified that his energy policy meetings will be unveiled.

BP Disaster Is Cheney’s Katrina
Bush Administration Actions Created Unsafe Circumstances
SOURCE: AP/Pablo Martinez Monsivais

http://www.americanprogress.org/issues/2010/06/oil_timeline.html

BP’s oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico is without a doubt former Vice President Dick Cheney’s Katrina. President George W. Bush and Cheney consistently catered to Big Oil and other special interests to undercut renewable energy and energy efficiency initiatives that would set the United States on a more secure clean energy path.

Oil companies raked in record profits while benefitting from policies they wrote for themselves. These energy policies did nothing for our national security and left consumers to pay the price at the pump and on their energy bills, which rose more than $1,100 during the Bush administration.
