Hillary as VP
I just heard it on the tele. They said it "was going to happen". Look for a news blurb soon.

10. Maybe that's what the DLC wants?
They willingly threw away Ted Kennedy's seat in Massachusetts. And they're letting their own puppet Blanche WalMart go down to a sure defeat in November, rather than get an upgrade to that seat. Then they let SC be stolen outright by electro-fraud.

The DLC can't make excuses for being a weak majority anymore, because the people aren't buying it. So they would rather go back to being the minority party, where they can vote along with the Repukes and NOT be noticed doing so. Like they did when Chimp occupied the White House.

while Obama was a progressive and "hadn't voted for the war in Iraq". My contention was that he wasn't even in the senate in 2002. One speech against the war from his safe state senate seat notwithstanding, he didn't say much else against it. Don't you remember what he said to Russert in 2004? He said that he didn't know how he would have voted if he had been in the senate. Of course he took it back pretty quickly when he was running for president.

be able to do another 4 years as VP. Someone also mentioned them switching positions. I think SOS would be more stressful than VP, so I don't think that's a good idea if Joe is having health issues.

Edited on Fri Jun-18-10 02:41 PM by CakeGrrl
From what I can tell, she's just pontificating.

Is Quinn implying that the VP job is more 'restful' if Hillary's tired out from being SoS? What sense does that make? She'll be even more tired if she had to take over as POTUS. Makes no sense.

...and here's some backup:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/06/17/sally-quinn-wants-joe-bid_n_616523.html

"Hillary Clinton should be Obama's vice president"

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/06/17/AR2010061703463.html?hpid=opinionsbox1

It appears that this is her opinion and not based on any kind of fact.
