I am SICK of hearing about how abusive Obama has been toward BP! Enough!!
The steps Obama took to secure the $20 billion from BP is getting a lot of attention, and much of it is negative. The M$M (not surprisingly) is responsible for much of the negativity.

So...I'd like to know what the options are.

Hope and pray that BP--who has not been totally honest in the past--will stand by their promise to make things right?

Rush Limbaugh on his radio show yesterday suggested we should let the federal laws and the judicial system deal with it. Like the Exxon Valdez accident, Rush? The one where it took 20 years before any money was disbursed to the victims? Many of whom had already lost their businesses, their homes, and their lives at that point? Is that really the best way to go? Are you human?

I think Obama did the most expedient thing he could, and at least ensured that some money will be available to those who have been harmed by this disaster. BP apparently willingly handed it over, they weren't forced to do it, from what I've heard. They are just doing what they said they would do, and somehow that's a bad thing now.

I'll bet the people on the Gulf Coast don't think it's a bad thing.

1. They know the past few days has turned the President into a kind of hero...
...and they can't stand it.

Given that I don't think it probably took much arm twisting to get BP to comply anyway, still, it is what it is and those people in the gulf that start getting this money to protect what can be protected of their quality of life will have no doubts as to who is responsible for making sure that money made its way to their pockets. As usual, Barack Obama finds a way to win the politics of the situation and its driving them insane.

2. BP laid me off in 1988
and I am loving every minute of Tony Hayward squirming.

3. Making a corporation responsible sort of under minds the whole principle
for having a corporation, to shirk responsibility.

Its a dagger to capitalism, and the GOBP needs to apologize.

4. I don't really care how rough he gets unless he starts killing people's kids
or something. Don't stress on it too much, I doubt anyone even a hair to Raygun's left cares at all.

We ought to be using the traitorous whining as a bat to bust up pukes with rather than spending a single microsecond worrying about the braying of those that push for the suffering of our coastal citizens.

I'd contend he hasn't gone far enough. Why do you care what the idiot class goes on about other than to use their nonsense against them?
