Whatever happened to these GOP talking points over the past 60 days?

At late as last week, my RW father-in-law was saying that he's still convinced that "environmentalist terrorists" blew up the rig.



I guess their current talking point is that Obama is usurping the constitution by extracting $20 billion from BP.

4. Just yesterday I had two Repugs tell me the

environmentalists blew it up so they can pass Cap and Trade, so that one is still alive. This morning Trace Adkins (oil expert) said if we weren't forced to drill at 5000' depths we wouldn't have had the problem in the first place. (so again it's the environmentalists fault) I think the biggest one is Obama won't accept help from other countries. (if he did it would be surrendering our sovereignty to a foreign nation)

It's just that the media is no longer repeating them as much as it used to.

Even the right wing radio nutballs know that this is doing more damage to President Obama's popularity than anything they could say. When I tune in on occasion just to see what's being said, I merely hear them jumping on the "just do something" thing that many progressives have said.
