...the real-life inspiration for The Sammy Maudlin Show, only without the funny.

Doocy is Sammy
Carlson is Lola Heatherton
Kilmeade is William B. Williams

7. "Oily Joe Barton." Pin a name like this on him and he's even more toxic.

8. Barton's Their New Hero...
Move over Joe Wilson and other wingnuts, we have a new "hero". I'm already reading and hearing how he's "standing up for the Constitution"...fuck those shrimpers and others in the Gulf Coast...how dare them demand anything from BP. Joe Barton is sorry.

Of course the GOOPers are trying to fit this into the "Chicago Politics" meme that for those of us from Chicago is a hoot as it has no basis in reality (what else is new). President Obama never served in the Chicago City Council or had any position within Cook County...he was a State Senator. Thus if they want to throw around a perjorative, it's "Springfield Politics"...and, yes, it tends to resemble Homer Simpson (just look at the Blago trial).

I expect all the hate radio shows to rally around Barton...which is fine with me. The smart rushpublicans (and there are fewer and fewer every day) realize how destructive these remarks are...especially in the deep red south. Barton may do what the DC Madam couldn't...take Diapers Vitters down once and for all.
