PA State Trooper found to be drunk-killed in 1AM crash day of hearing for previous DUI...
A PA State Trooper who was to appear for a hearing to be admitted to a rehab for DUI offenders was killed at 1AM today when his car crashed into another on the Schulykill Expressway ouside of Philadelphia. Link:

The other driver was a 23 year old woman who had just graduated from college and was planning to start law school - she is alive, with broken bones and some injuries.

The trooper had a DUI last year, and was reassigned to a desk job. He had formerly been an accident investigator who had arrested many DUI offenders.

5. Yeah right. The 99% of cops who are assholes, ruin it for all the rest.

6. Well, as an ex 1%er, I'll just say
you are one angry person. Kinda reminds me about what people in the south used to say about black. Ole Joe, he's ok, but the resta them are no good...etc.

8. That's right, and I get angrier every time I see cops attacking people.
It's obviously a profession that attracts sadistic bullies.

Thanks for being one of the 1% though.

2. damn. A chicago cop recently got off scott free
after he killed another driver. They held him without testing his blood or having him do a blow test, 8 hours, when a lieutenant finally said, this guy's blasted, so test him. The court threw out the test (too late) even though the top regional expert testified that he could accurately measure, even 8 hours later, the blood alcohol level from that test. The court also threw out video from a bar, showing the cop downing multiple shots just before he left on his fatal drive.

Talk about protecting their own.

3. I felt like I had to post this - the irony that he was an accident investigator arresting drunks
is too much. Makes you wonder how many times he got away with it, or was covered up...and what the hell he was thinking to be drunk on his ass the morning of his court hearing...I'm just glad he didn't kill anyone else.

9. A friend of mine's 7 year old daughter was killed by a drunk cop
It was so sad. He was their neighbor. The little girl was getting the mail and the cop came around the corner and hit her. She flew 30 feet. The really tragic part was that the cop had just been at a funeral for a cop who had been killed by a drunk driver.

I'll never forget that funeral as long as I live.

10. I used to play in bar bands for many years, and did a lot of early morning driving with
too much booze in my system...I am just lucky I never got into an accident.

Stopped drinking 22 years ago, but drunk drivers really scare me now-I know an awful lot of stories like these...there are a lot of them out there.
