is it okay to pander to the religious right without actually legislating in their interests?
the republican party does the exact same thing. Why not have us do the same? We can have democrats in conservative states run on a pro-life platform and then once they get elected, do nothing and continue to make abortion legal. Isn't that how the democrats unseated Rick Santorum?

4. But it wasn't on account of pandering to the fundies.
Some of the fundies stayed home in 2008 after finally realizing Junior and his handlers had played them as fools all along. Some of them continued voting GOP. But few of them punished Republicans by voting for Democrats. Speculation on my part but I believe I'm right.
