Anybody hear that hag on NPR responding to the speech?
She was the president of one of the LA parishes.

What a vile POS she is!

She thinks that Obama is "sacrificing Americans" with the moratorium, and that the industry does just fine policing itself.

You know what you ignoramus? If you don't want the government to interfere with industry, then don't expect them to help clean up after it.

Figure it out on your own, dummy.

PS: can't believe NPR let her spew her venom as long as they did. Ugh. This is why I no longer support NPR.

2. Not to mention the anti-intellectualism. Saying that Obama's people
only "teach college" but have no real world experience.

Because "real world" experience never leads to real explosions on oil rigs.

4. The host could have at least challenged her bizarre statements
Edited on Tue Jun-15-10 07:52 PM by Coventina
about how Obama was going to shut off our air conditioners, etc.

On edit: I don't dislike NPR for not having a liberal bias (aside from the fact that reality has a liberal bias). What I'm complaining about was that a person (allegedly in authority and representative of the community affected by the disaster) was chosen to comment who was clearly someone with very little rationality, and was allowed to spew all kinds of garbage that went unchallenged. If she truly represents her community, I am quickly losing interest in their hardships.

6. I pegged her as a teabagger
Nothing our pres can say or do will make her and her ilk happy. Obama could go to her parish and personally kiss her ass and she would complain he didnt pucker right.
