So I made it to post #1000 and wanted to use this post number as a post to thank everyone on DU. My mother in law introduced me to DU back when she signed up about 8 or 9 years ago. I lurked for years, just simply reading posts and relying on DU as my go-to news source. Then in '08 I received my first star and thus started my posting history. Yes, my posts might be knee-jerk reactions at times. I am young and eager to learn about everything that is going on and I do tend to come off as a devil's advocate at times, but please do not mistake me and my posts. I think along the lines of the majority here at DU and consider myself progressive in my thoughts and actions.

Thank you so much to the moderators for keeping this site up and running each and every day over the years.

Thank you, thank you, thank you all for posting everything that you do, as it keeps me well informed on current events and definitely helps me to rebut in an educated fashion to my neo-con father who watches Beck, O'Reilly, and all those other Faux news freaks... Oh how he despises the knowledge I toss his way... :)

Now I am on to post #1000+ :)

I was so mad at George Bush at the time, it was more important for me to waste some blathering statement on him then.
