3. Define work
When they are not in session they are still working. When they are at home, they are meeting with constituents. I'd call that work.

How would you like a job a couple hundred miles from your home?

I'm guessing that's the chart of time Congress is in session.

Are you one of those folks that think teachers work 8 to 3 and get summers off?

5. When they are not "working" , they are engaged in raising money for
the next campaign. A goodly portion of that time is in the normal 5 day work week.

That isn't "work" that they are being paid to do, but rather effort expended for their own job security.

6. Sorry. This does not pass the smell test. I have a Step-Brother that's a U.S. Congressman
and I would not wish his schedule on anyone.

When was the last time your job required you to travel to Iraq, Afghanistan and Somalia in one week?
