Woman's Wallet Returned With More Money Inside

Man Returns Lost Wallet, Asks Woman To Pay It Forward

A Concord woman who lost her wallet just days after giving birth received a welcome surprise from a stranger.

Nicole Parizo said she assumed her wallet was gone for good until she got a phone call from a man who'd just received a backpack as a gift from Target.

The man said he found her wallet in the backpack that Parizo had returned.

After her wallet was returned, Parizo found the man had left $150 inside.

"I e-mailed him and said, 'Thank you so much, I just opened my wallet.' And he said, 'You're very welcome, I know what it's like, I have four kids,'" said Parizo.

"And he said, 'All I ask, is that in returned you do something nice for somebody else,' she said.

-----------------------

Parizo chose to join the bone marrow registry and said she thought about the man who reached out to her, while doing so.

3. I would love to have enough money to do this sort of thing.
It would be so satisfying to be able to just give like that.

Years ago I wished that I had extra $ to pay for the car behind me in the parking structure, and then watch their face in my rear-view mirror. ^_^

20. One time I was at a gas station when a man handed the attendant at the
window $2.00 explaining it was all he had and joking that he hoped it would get him and his "junker" home. The old car was literally on its last legs and the man appeared to be in dire straits. The man behind him in line could see what was happening and handed the attendant an extra $20.00 so the man could put much more into his tank. I have never witnessed such gratitude. The guy who had benefitted from the stranger's generosity must have said "Thank you sir" and "God bless you" about 50 times. He also said that when he got "on his feet" he would be sure to do something kind for someone else.

I've never forgotten that and though I don't often have an extra $20.00 I can spare, I do try to make small acts of kindness a part of the everyday routine.

Thanks for sharing this.

21. There are allot of unsung heroes in this country. I do want people to watch out for
charity phone calls. I somehow got on someone's list as a do gooder and every organzations calls to ask for a donation. I don't give much maybe $10 or $20 at the most. But I mean it I calls from about 4 or 5 different organizations a week and that adds up. I finally started tell them I have to stop because we are having to help my son. That is 2 households and charity begins at home. I think some of these places call before the year is even out. Enough.

23. The more we focus on the good, the more of it we'll see.
I just had an interesting illustration of that axiom over the last week!

find as much good as possible to focus on!

not easy, I know--I'm struggling myself...catastrophe is much more dramatic, but after the weird reflections of where my focus had been....... hmmmmm.

25. What a wonderful story
In all the drama and trauma of day to day life, we sometimes forget the everyday heroes that walk among us. Thanks for reminding us that goodness is sometimes found when and where we least expect it.

26. I saw a homeless woman in church once with all her belongings in a plastic
bag - maybe she got out of jail or a shelter?

She went up to Communion and I put a $20.00 bill on her bag while she was gone. When she came back her eyes lit on the twenty and she took off like a bat.
