Tiny/Grizzly Smith the professional wrestler died Saturday

Aurelian "Grizzly" Smith passed away on Saturday. He was 77. For those of us who grew up in the sixties and seventies, Grizzly Smith was a popular wrestler. His son, Aurelian Smith, Jr., was also a professional wrestler and went by the name "Jake the Snake".
I grew up in the same neighborhood as Jake the Snake, and we were very good friends. As kids, eight or ten of us would climb on his dad and he would toss us off like toothpicks! He was a "big" man!

Jake the Snake (we just called him "Grizz") still lives nearby, but his years as a professional wrestler has taken it's toll on his body and he can barely get around.

Liked him as a championship wrestler too, mind you that was when I was pretty sure it was the real thing.
Rest in pease Mr. Smith, you gave many of us young'uns many hours of enjoyment.

2. i do`t think he ever got up here in the awa but i maybe wrong..

jake the snake was a pretty good showman and wrestler.if i remember he had a bad drug problem at the end of his career.
