will anti-British sentiment get out of control?
will Anglican churches be vandalized?

will violent mobs roam the streets in British immigrant ghettos?

will people call for Spanish to be our official language?

:scared:

1. Well actually, Ben Franklin wanted German instead of English anyway.
And yeah, I can see it now. Breakfast at McDonalds will come on a Freedom Muffin. People will be piling up old Beatles memorabilia and burning them in the streets. When pool shooters put spin on the cue ball they'll have to call it "Rove."

2. The 'anti-british' sentiment is a Red Herring.
Edited on Sun Jun-13-10 01:00 PM by formercia
BP is a multi-national corporation. The anti-British crap is something our faux-liberal media pulled out of their collective asses.

It was a made for bullshit propaganda meme to take attention away from the real culprits.

3. their red herrings are usually at least remotely plausible
I can't even picture anti-British sentiment. How would it manifest itself? What's the worst anti-British epithet? Limey? Who cares about the British?

10. Actually, it wasn't our MSM that started it...
Some asshole CEO of another British corporation started that shit, and our whore media has latched onto it. Everything else you have said is correct, however.

7. Does anyone consider criticism of Halliburton to be "anti-American sentiment"?
Edited on Sun Jun-13-10 01:17 PM by Marr
I haven't seen any anti-British sentiment. We're basically watching Wall Street 'play the race card' here, and it's bizarre.

8. How is this affecting the sales of the Rolling Stones "Exile on Main Street" remaster?
Or is that technically a French product since it was recorded at Keith's house in Nellcotte?

9. I spent yesterday with about 100+ Brits..
just outside the US capital some were wearing St.George Flags in various forms or other ( this is the England flag, not the Union Jack) and nobody said a word. I can't say the same good manners would have been extended to Americans doing the same thing in a major city like London....any anti-Brit hype is being dreamed up and pushed by the media

16. Anti-British sentiment? I think I missed this one.
Are people here really pissed at the English people for BP? Seriously? If so, then the Brits must just hate the fuck out of us.

17. I think that the anti-British sentiment is being stirred up by Fixed Noise
To deflect attention away from Halliburton's part in this mess. I mean, I just spoke to several Brits who are Her Majesty's employees last week, and all of them are appalled at the oily mess in the Gulf. I wonder what they're going to say when they get home, after listening to a week of American media? Hopefully some of them found Rachel Maddow on their tellies in their hotel rooms.
