8. There are three groups within that structure.
Ideological conferences

Other caucuses are organized political factions with a common ideological orientation:

* On the Democratic side, there is the Blue Dog Coalition (conservative Democrats), New Democrat Coalition (moderate Democrats), and Congressional Progressive Caucus (liberal and progressive Democrats).
* On the Republican side, there is the Republican Study Committee (conservative politics Republicans) and the Liberty Caucus, which is sometimes called the Republican Liberty Caucus (libertarian Republicans).

But I get it, you're a "lone wolf"...

6. It looks like a very FEW make a very BIG noise around here...
regarding the "pragmatism" of the New Dems.

We need to push for progressive legislators and
progressive legislation NOW.

We may not have WON in Arkansas this time around,
but it was just ONE battle.

The party needs to be responsive to the people.

The ploy of the New Dems using the Blue Dogs
to hide behind was revealed when we attained
a majority in both houses.

They stymie progressive legislation by joining
forces to outnumber the larger Progressive Caucus.

Send your Progressive Representative some love and money today!

I don't fit any group perfectly, but I fit all in part. I tend to be very progressive, but pragmatic.

12. One might ask some folks whether those in the other two groups are actually progressive...
Often far-left folks fall for the mime that folks in the other two groups are not progressive. It cuts both ways.

That being said, I never said folks in the Progressive Caucus are not pragmatic.

15. Better yet, isn't there a black caucus? They are usually more liberal ...
and I think they inspired the only protest to the 2000 election . . . ????

18. Yes, there is a black caucus, and a women's caucus. These are ideological caucuses.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Congressional_caucus

And they actually exist. These are not imaginary clubs
I'm talking about here.

There is an actual Progressive Caucus being THWARTED
in progressive legislation by the other two.
