What's up with the Costner machine?
First, I heard that BP tested them, and they failed.

A few days later they said BP bought 28 (or something) of them.

Last Modified: Friday, June 11, 2010 at 9:35 p.m.

HOUMA — Edison Chouest Offshore will team up with a company launched by actor Kevin Costner to deploy machines to help clean up the oil spill, both companies said Friday.

After tests this week, BP, the company that owned the well being drilled by the Deepwater Horizon drillship before it blew out on April 20, signed an agreement to use 32 of Costner's machines, which suck up ocean water and separate oil from it.
