BP oil spill Corexit dispersants suspected in widespread crop damage
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs/ybenjamin/detail??blogid=150&entry_id=65552

Just when you thought the damages BP could cause was limited to beaches, marshes, oceans, people's livelihoods, birds and marine life, there's more.

-snip-

It seems like damage brought by the oil gusher has spread way beyond the ocean, coastal areas and beaches. Collateral damage now appears to include agricultural damage way inland Mississippi.

A mysterious "disease" has caused widespread damage to plants from weeds to farmed organic and conventionally grown crops. There is very strong suspicion that ocean winds have blown Corexit aerosol plumes or droplets and that dispersants have caused the unexplained widespread damage or "disease".

PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO: WIDESPREAD MYSTERIOUS CROP DAMAGE IN GULF AREA

-snip-

There is no other explanation for the crop damage. Everything points to something that has a widespread effect on plants and crops. While no one precisely knows, all the signs point to BP's use of aerosolized Corexit brought inland by the ocean winds or rain.

Remember acid rain? Now it seems we could have toxic dispersant rain.

3. Dispersents CAUSE the underwater plumes?
If I had to guess..it is the dispersants that are causing or exacerbating the underwater plumes....by changing the specific gravity of the resulting oil/water mix?

Dispersants have probably been used regularly to keep oil spills from showing up on the surface?

This is the dispersant sprayed INTO the rising oil...not on the surface.

Call it a kind of coverup. Wouldn't want to panic the herd.

4. that is why they started spraying corexit under water.
couldn't have all those fatal chemicals blowing in the wind.

The amount they need to use to keep the amount of oil hidden, was way to dangerous to spray out of a plane.

Doesn't give you much hope for the ocean, does it?

7. Source: a blogger named Yobie
I'd like to wait until this story is flushed out a bit before I express an opinion. The transport mechanism doesn't make intuitive sense to me yet (scientifically) - I need more information.

8. Why doesn't the EPA (under Obama administration) ban the substance?
The question nobody is asking.

Why would BP stop using something that is legal?
Why would someone EXPECT BP to stop using something that is legal?

When something is dangerous we make it illegal! So what aren't we?

12. Remember when the head of the
EPA said to STOP the Corexit? And then she was overruled.

:wtf: Europe has outlawed the crap. Does Obama owe Nalco (IL company) for campaign contributions or something.

This is simply horrific.

No one will be able to work in the Gulf to clean this up...due to the Corexit.

I swear this is just want the fucking oil boyz wanted. Now they can drill in the Gulf forever...it's dead.

I'm sick.
