Has Obama flip-flopped on offshore drilling?
Despite the ongoing disaster in the Gulf of Mexico, President Obama is pushing to open MORE drilling rigs.

First Obama promised to halt new offshore drilling projects until we find out what went wrong in the Gulf and make sure it doesn't happen again. But now it seems that some members of Obama's team think it's time to start drilling again. Has Obama flip-flopped on offshore drilling?

Please sign this petition to insure the Obama team stays on course:

1. As if they would listen.
I'm too fucking retarded to sign petitions.

It will be great fun to watch them wonder where all their voters have gone in 2012.

4. I convinced friends who had never voted before that this time would be different.
I contributed, I registered many new voters, I run a precinct in California.

I was a fool. Nothing will ever change. It's a huge hoax, and nothing more. :banghead:

11. I feel personally betrayed.
I worked my ass off for a year of hard work to get Obama elected. I gave him money I really didn't have. I don't know what happened to candidate-Obama and I don't recognize who that man is in the White House. There is still hope for him, but he needs to do an about face and start being tough. He needs to fire most of those who are advising him, especially Rahm who called everyone on the left 'insane'. Screw Rahm. He's just a punk who is in way over his head. And shame on Obama for even listening to him.

Obama needs to announce a huge shakeup and firings. He needs to gut the MMS firing all of its leaders. He needs to fire Ken Salazar. And he needs to replace them with people on the left who aren't whores to corporations. Obama needs to do SOMETHING courageous.

6. For every one of us that signs the petition, there are people whose livelyhoods are dependent on
oil drilling. 3500 oil platforms in the Gulf alone employ a lot of people.

8. there are more whose livelihood -- and life -- depends on not having oil all over the gulf of mexico
and the surrounding land mass.

the mafia employs a lot of people, too.

so does my local drug dealer.

somehow that doesn't play as a mitigating factor when they kill people.

the oil industry and the related suppliers. I can't find the article right now. I know there have been several lawsuits filed, including one by a company that boated supplies to the platforms.

directly anyway.

as we've seen, most of them are employed by SUB-CONTRACTORS.

Cause it's cheaper that way.

and then you're not responsible for what happens to them, like when they die in an explosion.
