Even through the bickering and mudslinging and sometimes just general horse shit.

I appreciate the unabashed brilliance I read here. The insights and opinions and exchanges which give me pause, I find here. The wisdom shared here, aiding me in perhaps seeing a matter in a different way, in allowing me to see more clearly around the corner of my own haughty opinions.

I'm proud to be a member of Democratic Underground.

As I watch Cenk speak with the Holding Congress Accountable panel. And I can clearly hear in my mind Governor Dean as he gave voice to frustrations on the left at the America's Future Now conference. And I know that when AFL-CIO spokesman Eddie Vale says "Labor isn't an arm of the Democratic Party, it exists to support working families," he means it. No thinly veiled threats from Eddie, and he won't hide behind an anonymous quote.

Yes, I'm proud to be a member of Democratic Underground, for I watched and heard and read all of that here, today.

But the word 'Democrat' doesn't fit me.

I'm not 'a Democrat.'

Nor am I 'a Liberal.'

No.

I am Progressive.

And I am proud to be Progressive.

But sadly, I doubt there can ever be a ProgressiveUndergound.com.

Nope.

I'm a straight up Democrat, but I'm also finding this site isn't exclusively filled with Democrats.
