18-year-old Ambah Young has cosmetic surgery to feel young again

AUSTRALIAN women as young as 18 are taking overseas cosmetic-surgery holidays to "reclaim" their youth.

Single mother Ambah Young, 18, will head to Malaysia in a fortnight to have a tummy tuck, a boob job and a "designer" vagina procedure.

But the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery has raised concerns about the appropriateness of such procedures on someone so young, along with the added risks of having them done overseas.

Ms Young, who has a two-year-old daughter, said she felt old and hoped to reclaim her youth and regain confidence.

The surgeries would cost $13,000. Ms Young has borrowed the money from a friend.

"After the birth of my daughter, my body never went back to the way it was before," Ms Young said.

Whomever has been responsible for guiding this young woman into adulthood, needs to be taken out back and have the shit knocked out of them.

Pregnant at 16, not necessarily the end of the world but certainly coming out of the starting blocks of life with a LONG TERM adult burden/responsibility. I see a very, very difficult learning curve for an 18 year old mother of a two year old girl, borrowing money for a boob job and vaginal enhancement surgery to regain her "youth". Her picture is a beautiful girl, hopefully stupid will skip a generation and her daughter will learn from her mothers mistakes as they grow up together.

Not a matter of "if", but ....."when, and how grisly" will the emotional crash and burn be ?

Childbirth can cause a lot of vaginal looseness for some women (even at 18), and this can affect sexual pleasure. For mentally stable individuals, I see nothing wrong with such procedures. I am concerned, however, that it is done overseas. She had better vet her surgeon and his facility well.

I'm a small woman who had huge babies and my stomach was physically damaged after the second child (that part is covered by insurance); however, I'm having some nips and tucks while they have me flayed open like a gutted fish.

Of course, my portion would be about $5,000 - not $13,000.
