Pissed About Halter Losing: Progressive Need to Get Andrew Romanoff Elected In CO
Edited on Tue Jun-08-10 10:56 PM by liskddksil
We have to send the message to the establishment that progressives can win, and take out Senators who vote against our interests. Sen. Bennet, voted against allowing cram-downs in the mortgage bill, and voted against several good amendments to the financial reform bill. In addition he folded on the public-option, when he could have stood up to get it in the bill. Andrew Romanoff is running a progressive grass-roots campaign, and is not accepting PAC money.

1. Romanoff is not a progressive. He was a member of the DLC. Halter was not, Sestak was not.

I wish people would admit that. They are less conservative then the Senators they are running or ran against. In Halter's case, he did have some stances on gay rights in the past that were not "progressive". I would say that Romanoff seems better then Bennett, as Halter seemed better then Lincoln.

2. He may have been a member of the DLC ten years ago
but the DLC would have nothing to do with the insurgent campaign he is running right now and his anti-corporate message.

5. Andrew Needs Money
not one commercial ran for Andrew in the run up to the conventions, as where Michael Bennet spent a butt-load and still lost, but that's the "activists" don't ya know.
