So here is a question, why is the SOS page behind essentially a news site?

Not asking whether TPM is right or wrong, but what the hell is going on?

1. Because the news have the raw data

and SoS is notoriously slow on updating their data (It happens here in Colorado too)

5. In Ohio SOS page is usually behind media

My only guess is that they wait for the "official, unofficial" results transmitted from the counties and then probably have some verification process before posting, where the media can just accumulate county reports from other media sources... like a newspaper journalist on site at a county BOE reporting data.
